Our Mission:   “A Quality Education for All Students”

Highland School District, for a small district, has big offerings in both academics and extracurricular programs. The district serves approximately 1145 students in four schools: Marcus Whitman (Pre-school-3); Tieton Intermediate (4-6); Highland Junior High (7-9) and Highland High (10-12). The outstanding basic education offerings of the district are augmented by a developmental pre-school program, all day kindergarten, strong remediation programs, migrant/bilingual programs, state-of-the-art vocational technology programs and an excellent special services department. The district also offers extended learning opportunities through Central Washington University that gives students the opportunity to receive college credits. The district prides itself with a strong tradition of providing a solid educational program that prepares students for post-secondary education and adult life.
